Privacy Policy
Last updated September 19, 2026
This policy describes how Ranking Engine (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the website, workspace, and related services (the “Service”).
1. Who this applies to
It applies to visitors of the public site, people who create an account, and people whose information appears in a workspace because a customer added it (for example, a publisher contact used for outreach).
2. Information we collect
- Account. Name, email address, and password (stored hashed).
- Workspace content. Ranking Assets you create: target URLs and keywords, research and blueprints, page drafts, notes, publisher lists, outreach messages, visual assets, and settings.
- Integrations you connect. If you connect Google Search Console or Google Analytics, we receive the property data you authorize so we can show performance for your ecosystems. Tokens are stored to keep the connection working until you disconnect it.
- Billing. Plan, subscription status, and a Stripe customer identifier. Card numbers are handled by Stripe, not stored on our servers.
- Usage. Pages viewed, jobs you run (analysis, generation, publishing), and basic diagnostic logs needed to operate the Service.
- Communications. Emails we send (password reset, product messages, outreach you initiate) and related delivery events.
3. How we use information
We use it to provide the Service you asked for: authenticate you, run research and generation jobs, host drafts and assets, measure Search Console performance you connected, send mail you initiate, bill your plan, keep the product secure, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use Google user data to show you ads.
4. Artificial intelligence
Features such as subject research, blueprints, and page drafts send relevant workspace content (for example a target URL, extracted page text, and your instructions) to model providers we configure. Those providers process the content to return a result. We instruct the product not to invent citations or statistics; you remain responsible for reviewing output before you publish it.
5. Google user data
When you grant Google access, we use that data only to provide the features you enabled — Search Console, and Analytics if you connect it — and to maintain or improve those features. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not allow human review of it except as needed to operate or secure the Service, comply with law, or with your direction. You can revoke access in your Google account and disconnect the integration in Settings.
6. Who we share information with
We share information with processors who help us run the Service, under obligations to protect it:
- Hosting and database infrastructure
- Authentication and Google APIs you connect
- Model providers used for research and drafting
- Stripe for payments
- Email delivery for account and outreach messages
- Object storage for generated files you create
We may also share information if required by law, to protect the Service, or if the business is transferred (with notice where required).
7. Cookies and similar storage
We use cookies and similar storage for authentication and to keep you signed in. If you arrive through an affiliate or partner link, we may store an attribution identifier so a referring partner can be credited. The public site does not use advertising cookies.
8. Retention
We keep account and workspace data while the workspace is active. Job logs and email events are kept as long as needed to operate, debug, and meet billing or legal duties. You may request deletion of your account as described below.
9. Your choices
- Update workspace details in Settings.
- Disconnect Google from Settings → Integrations and from your Google account.
- Manage billing through the Stripe customer portal when it is available on your workspace.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by writing from the email address on the account — reply to a transactional email we sent you (for example a password-reset or receipt), or use any in-product contact option shown in Settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, deletion, portability, objection, or complaint to a supervisory authority). We will honor requests as required by applicable law.
10. Children
The Service is for business use and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. International processing
We and our processors may process information in the United States and other countries. Those locations may have different data-protection rules than your own.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change, and we will provide additional notice when required.
13. Contact
Privacy questions and requests: use the email on your Ranking Engine account (reply to a message we sent, or the contact path in Settings). Our Terms of Service also apply to use of the Service.
